Chapter History

The Beginning of Delta Mu Mu

The Legacy of Achievement & Honorable Projects

In the summer of 2006, Brother Reginald High (Virginia State University) had a vision for a North Fulton County graduate chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He, along with Brothers Larry Rasberry (Virginia State University), Patrick Tolbert (South Carolina State University), Mitch Belton (Clemson University), Sean Mack (University of South Carolina), Marc Harrigan (Brown University) and Vontell Johnson (Fort Valley State University), began exploring the possibility in 2006.

After several meetings with key district representatives, the group started to function as a chapter- planning service projects and other activities in the community.  Beginning September 2007, the brothers began meeting on a regular basis and were functioning as an organized entity.  From the fall of 2007 through February 2008, 32 brothers were recruited and reclaimed to join the original group. Together, the group committed to serving the North Fulton area with the following activities

Brother Alonzo Bennett (Kappa Alpha Alpha chapter) was very instrumental in getting the chapter approved.  He provided important guidance and support on completing the formal process of chartering a chapter.  At the end of February 2008, an application for the formation of a new chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was submitted and approved.  After two years of hard work, perseverance and determination, the Delta Mu Mu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was officially chartered on March 14, 2008.
